Product Details

Our 770 jeans are more narrow than our 1040 slim-straight but not as skinny as the 484 (our slimmest fit). For our denim fabric we went to the Kaihara mill, one of Japan's oldest and most renowned denim producers. Our washes are specially designed at Wonderland Concepts in Henderson, Kentucky, where every pair is hand-distressed for an authentic look. This wash is made to replicate the heavy fading that usually comes with about two years of frequent use, which is nice because you get the worn look without the bagginess that usually comes with that much wear. Go behind the design of our denim washes.

770 jean in Leroy wash

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Wash, but too High Rise Let me first start off by saying that the wash is beautiful. The wash is a shade lighter in blue than the one pictured, but I am totally satisfied by its styling and color. The one area for concern is the fit. I admit that I am new to the 770, so I cannot say if my following comment is consistent with the 770 fit, but I found the jean to be really "high rise" compared to other brands. I felt the jeans coming up to my stomach at times and when I tried to wear it like normal modern pants (I do not sag), I found the thigh area to be awkward and too roomy for my liking. Overall, the jean is definitely nice in design, but the 770 styling kind of gives off the dad jean vibe on my tall, slim frame. October 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the 770's I bought 3 pairs of the 770's as they fit my fit sensibilities. The wash on all 3 that I bought are great! The only observation / critical remark I have is that the length can vary slightly from one pair of jeans to another. I have to get 32/34 pants altered by 1&1/4 inches because I can not wear a 32/32 - too short for me. The jeans are sent out to be altered compliments of J Crew (I am an account holder). I had the Leroy wash jeans shortened by 1 & 1/4 inches as I did with the first pair I purchased, and they came up shorter. Could this have been a tailoring error? I suppose. So the third and last pair that I bought in the guilford wash was measured with an assistant before I left the Madison Ave. store. We measured 1 & 1/4 inches (like the first pair I bought with no pre-measure). But- having the try-on and measure assured the desired outcome. The Leroys are okay - but a little shorter than I like. So- I suggest- GET MEASURED! -btw- GO MADISON AVE. STAFF NYC! March 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally! JC got it right I have attempted several pairs of demin from JC over the years and every pair, despite all listed as the same size, fit differently. These jeans do the job. They are perfectly tapered and just long enough. The rise is higher, which I appreciate, as not everyone can get away with low rise jeans. Thanks JC. I purchased another pair in a different wash so hopefully I will be equally pleased. March 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great price for quality blue jeans When it comes to fit, nobody beats JCrew. I love the quality of the fabric and the color. January 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the 770s style and fit I recently purchased the a pair of 770s and must say the quality of the jeans is fantastic. The washes are also very nice and easy to dress up or down because of the quality of the denim. If the fantastic cut and quality of the washes stays the same they will be my new go to denim brand.
