I loved the J.Crew linen tank from last year, so I decided to order a couple for this summer. I'm sad to say the quality of the linen fabric on these is not good. It is very see-thru and the linen is coarse and almost papery. Not soft, like last year's model. Also the binding on the arms, neck, and hem is cheaply stitched and flimsy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dani This top makes no sense
This top is completely see through. I got it in the heather burgundy and vintage sea. You could see my neutral bra right through. Also, you need to wear a racerback bra with this tank, but then a camisole underneath. I have yet to find a racerback camisole. This just seems too complicated, not to mention it defeats the purpose of trying to stay cool when you have to wear two layers. This top is ridiculous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cortney Totally see-through
The linen tank is updated from last year but unfortunately it is still very sheer. Not just a little sheer, but can completely see through it. Too bad because I really liked the style otherwise. It's not just the white that is see-through, all the colors are.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aTallDrinkofWater loose fit, great colors
I tried this on in-store in the larger of my 2 alpha sizes (L). I found it ran large. I will probably end up sizing down to M, and I would recommend that if you're between two sizes, as I often am, then size down. I did really like the heather burgundy and the brilliant fuchsia colors - two colors that I do not recall seeing recently at J.Crew - and I find the image on my screen accurately reflects the appearance in real life. I have several J.Crew linen tops and find they are super comfortable on hot, humid, southern Ohio summer days. I have always followed the laundering instructions and my linen tees have held up well over 2-3 summers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by H333 Runs a Size Small
I was hoping, despite the poor reviews that I would love these tanks, as I really like my linen t-shirts from JCrew. I ordered a size down, which is the same size I order in the t-shirts. I got the black and green colors, figuring they would be of thin fabric and I don't want to have to wear anything under them. Even with a nude or black bra, they were way too see through to wear alone and not have something over them. The sizing fit basically fine although not as loose as on the model…but a size up would be too big in the neckline and arm holes. Why does everybody have to make their t-shirts out of such thin material?…that get holes so quickly?!? It's really hot where I live in the summer and the last thing I want to do is layer two knit fabrics. They went back.
