Regent blazer in linen

Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect Spring jacket Ordered this jacket in weathered coral and moss. Great fabric, like that it is a little lighter weight than last year's linen. Could only give it 4 stars because of the cotton lining. Please, please, stop lining jackets with cotton fabric! It does not slide smoothly over cotton tees or shirts and I feel like I am constantly tugging at it. Same with the Chambray. This may seem like a small issue, but comfort is paramount, a definite design flaw. Don't sacrifice quality to keep a price point. I would gladly pay a little more. March 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sticky lining...... Love these blazers but lining is just plain difficult over any shirt..it sticks!! March 10, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Style excellent, cotton lining a problem. I bought this in the navy colour and it looks lovely. It makes my third Regent blazer: the cut suits my shape very well. However the thick, black cotton lining is a big disappointment. I have heavy upper arms, so that, even wearing a sleeveless top underneath, the sleeve fit is very tight and the garment feels cumbersome and awkward on my body. I am keeping the blazer, because I love the look of it, but will be asking my tailor to change the lining for a much lighter-weight material, or (preferably) to remove the lining altogether (though this introduces other problems from a tailoring viewpoint and may not be possible). For someone with muscular upper arms, like me, the cost of tailoring may therefore need to be factored into the purchase price. March 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful linen Love this blazer and got it in navy which is a beautiful color in this type of linen. (I'm trying to shift away from too much black.) Like the chambray Regent, the fit is just about the same with the sleeves being tight and the lining isn't an easy pull on. Between the two blazers, I prefer this one because of the color. I found the Chambray doesn't go with my wardrobe and is a bit limited. If you can only purchase one linen Regent, then go with this particular one in varied colors and do size up one. As I said, the navy is beautiful. Just beware of the fit. March 13, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Cotton lining does not move The color, fit and style of the jacket is great, but the cotton lining that is being in Crew's jackets makes for uncomfortable wearing. The lining just do not move with the jacket, and you can't easily slip this jacket on, you had to pull it on. It is going back! May 11, 2015
