Rated 4 out of 5 by from woot! winter white! I hate packing away my bright white jeans after labor day, and love the idea of winter white, so ordered these in my typical size (29). Given that the jeans have some stretch, they were too large. I am returning, but reordering in a smaller size. The ecru color is perfect for fall/winter!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from too see-thru + a plea to J. Crew I loved the idea of this jean--I have an ecru jean from J. Crew from a couple of years ago that I wear all the time. These fit well, and the design is cute with the front buttons exposed. But the fabric seems thinner than most J. Crew denim, which is not exactly what you want in a light-colored bottom because of visibility issues. My gauge on this is the pocket linings--if the pant fabric is thin enough to see the front pocket linings, then they are too see-thru. And you can most definitely see the pocket linings on these. So, they are getting returned. J Crew, a personal plea: Please make white/ecru denim & pants (plus a perfect white t-shirt!) with fabric in a heavy-enough gauge that you CANNOT SEE THROUGH it. Thank you.
