Rated 4 out of 5Â by Babsi Size up--runs small!
This style runs small. I ordered my usual j.crew size 27 and could barely get them over my hips and could not zip up. I will reorder in a 28. They are quite high-waisted, as in the photo and also long in the inseam. The inseam is not indicated in the description but they hit me at the ankle like the model and I am 5'11" tall. The hem is unfinished and frayed, something that I hadn't noticed when I ordered. The denim is substantial and not too stretchy (good, IMHO). Overall very stylish jeans if you can get the right fit.

First let me say I would love to have these in a charcoal or eggshell version! I have the previous seasons (last winter) version of this pant in a size 24 (they didn't offer a smaller size last year) which stretched and are a bit too loose for my liking. I purchased these as they came in my true size 23. I have a 22" waist size 000 5'5 and it was a bit of a struggle to get them over my bum. Once on they looked great, but they're VERY fitted in the torso area. I'm keeping them because I think they'll stretch a bit and I prefer jeans in my true (and hard to find) size. This is a very high rise though - those with a narrow torso/no backside will be fine, but others might want to size up. As for style, last years seems a smidge longer and also lighter at the bottom folded section. This years is almost uniformly dark blue, MUCH less variation then in this photo. I do love the Point Sur line though - please j.crew make more versions in size 23!
