This silhouette (and print!) was inspired by our designer's very own vintage romper from the 1940s. It's one of our go-to 30-second outfits for summer, thanks to the classic button-front, flattering cut and polished shirt collar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by not for short people? This is very well made very pretty in person great material enough thickness to keep its shape, all that being said I will be returning with much sorrow. I'm 5ft 3 inches between a 6/8 usually a 6 except for jcrew jeans always a size 8/29 with a little room and this romper is just too long for me all over. The length between the waist and crotch is very long which I get can be made that way on purpose, but I cant see how this would even work on a taller person unless they are very tall. I ordered an 8 may buy a 6 but not unless they have in store so I can try on first. good luck to other buyers I will be jealous of those this works for! June 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by YES! This is my first romper and I could not be happier! The fabric is awesome and the print is fun without being overwhelming. I'm usually a 2 on top, 4 on bottom and I went with the 4--fits like a dream. I'm 5'6 and I feel like this wouldn't work if I was much taller or shorter. June 24, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great in theory but cheap in reality This romper looked cute on the website that I threw away my inhibitions about adult onesies (and their lack of practicality) and ordered in my usual J.Crew dress size (0). I am petite, hourglass shaped (5'1) and found it was TTS. The material + the contrasting stitching (blue) made it seem cheap. The fabric is not smooth - it's a knitted material so it doesn't make a smooth stitch. To highlight that bumpy stitching with a color made this look a cheap uniform. The collar and v-neck added to the retro vibe but not in a good way - I have tan yellow undertones in my skin, and between the color and style, I looked like a hotel housekeeper in Hawaii in the 1970s. Also, the fit in the back was off - there was ballooning at the waist in the back, but the silhouette followed the curve of my rear and kicked out, like culottes except less material. My rear looked huge! This could be a hit for someone with no hips or butt - not me. June 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pop of Color for the Summer I love...love this romper... I am an island girl and this print and pop of color for the summer are right up my alley. The material is of high quality and not itchy for linen. It feels more like a linen/cotton blend and it doesn't wrinkle too easily. I am 5'6'' and 140 lbs and I ordered a size 4 which fits me perfectly. I usually go down a size when ever it's linen made clothing from Jcrew, they just tend to run a bit larger. This is going to sell out quickly and I am glad I own this colorful and airy linen romper for the hot summer days :-) June 23, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Absurdly Long Crotch I am a long torsoed person who usually has trouble with rompers being too short in the rise. This romper is completely the opposite -- comically long through the torso. The crotch hangs down halfway to my knees and I'm 5'6". I'm not sure if this is an intentional design or not, but it looks ridiculous on me. Such a shame, because the fabric and everything else about the romper is beautiful. I purchased a size 4, which is too large all over. I might try a smaller size, but I don't know if the torso length will be any different. June 23, 2016
