Classic V-neck cardigan in Donegal wool

Classic V-neck cardigan in Donegal wool is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sweater! The weight of this sweater is perfect for Texas Winters; also Fall and Spring for that matter. A little bit scratchy because of the wool content, so if that bothers you, look for a sweater with a lower percentage of wool, or none at all. I ordered the Forest in a large, I am normally a size 12 or 14 in shirts, 38DD or E and it fits perfectly and the color is great. It would be perfect if it had pockets (so, 4 stars instead of 5).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I had really wanted this sweater I bought 2 and both were too small. I read the reviews and they said it runs large. Nope. Now they are sold out so hopefully someone needs small sweaters.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sweater Has An Identity Issue I tried size XS & didn't like the fit. I wear size 2/xs in tops/sweaters at JCrew. The cardi is wide in the chest area (pit-to-pit), the sleeves are too short ending just above my wrist bone, and the fabric doesn't have substantial weight to it. If the whole sweater was either over-sized or fitted, it would be fine but the sleeves are skimpy and the chest area fit as wide as when I shop the men's sweaters. I really had high hopes for it since the description states merino wool and I love the colors but it simply fit like a shlumpy around the house sweater w/too short sleeves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice I bought this in both "indigo" and "forest". The indigo is a slightly faded navy with beautiful colorful flecks; the forest is a yellow-olive (and brownish) color with nice flecks of yellow, orange, brown, red and black mixed in. I have slightly wide shoulders and narrow hips and typically wear XXS in J. Crew. The XXS fits perfectly as a slightly oversized and comfortable cardigan. I'm 5' 6" with a longer torso and I think the cardigan is quite long. Because I have narrow hips, I can button it all the way down comfortably but someone with wider hips may find it tight fitting towards the bottom (I think it looks good unbuttoned). The shoulder and chest area is quite big and roomy, and the arms are appropriately sized I think (I've found arms on XXS items sometimes are too narrow, not the case here). The fabric itself is a bit itchy but that's expected with wool items. It hasn't bothered me when worn with short sleeved tops.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice cardigan, but runs big I love the flecks of color in this sweater. It's a nice change from a straight solid color. I got the navy which has red flecks in it. I got my normal cardigan size medium, but I definitely would have gone down a size had I tried it on in the store. The sleeves and the body are a little looser than they should be, but I kept it anyway because it looked fine, and I can always shrink it a little in the wash. It's donegal wool, so it is a little scratchy, but not as bad as other donegal sweaters I've had. I do wish it had pockets though. That would have made it perfect.
