previous reviews warned of the poor quality of the cashmere. i have many j. crew cashmere sweaters from years past and they have always been very soft and a perfect weight. sadly, the current reviews are correct. the quality is just awful! who wants to wear scratchy, stiff cashmere?! I wouldn't mind the price if the quality was there. don't waste your time on their cashmere, it's just not worth it. needless to say, this sweater is going back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gigi Bring back the old relaxed fit cashmere sweater!
I actually really wanted the cashmere sweater you carried for years, with the very relaxed, boxy fit. Was so disappointed that this was nothing like it. The cashmere was not as high of quality, and I didn't like the tight, stretchy waistband. Had to return it.

I'm a multiples girl and have this sweater in more colors than I care to admit. Always chic with skinny pants. Just ordered the ocean blue only to find out that the cut has CHANGED ENTIRELY -- not just the deeper V and slimmer sleeves, as stated in the description -- but the overall cut no longer lives up to its name. This is NOT the same sweater. Sigh...

I though the cashmere was fine but the fit was odd. It is clearly not like the old version which was large in the body. I actually was looking forward to it being a little more streamlined. This one is large in the shoulders and tight in the waistband area. Not flattering unless you have no curves, I guess.

I was obsessed with the previous fit of the boyfriend sweater. I wore my navy one so much over the last 2 years that I've "blown out" holes in both elbows. Dismayed, I went to J.Crew to buy a new sweater but the fit is just terrible now. As a frequent J.Crew shopper I beg you: please bring back the old style!!!
