I tried this shirt on in store, loved it, bought it, and wore it once. After one wear, it had little holes all over it. Do not buy. Not the quality one expects from Jcrew.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dcgirl Perfect amount of shimmer
The picture does not do this T-shirt justice b/c it doesn't show the shimmer of the fabric. It's like rose gold, and it's perfect -- not too shiny. I wore it with my same-old black cardigan, skirt, tights, and tall boots, and it looked great. My significant other thought I had bought an entirely new outfit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KaliM So lovely, but develops holes so quickly.
I bought this at the same time as a non-metallic vintage cotton tee. That one developed a hole in the armpit after about 8-10 wears. I had only worn this once at that point, so I started babying it... gentle hand-washing, air drying, no layering it under stiff jackets. After five wears, it developed a hole in the center of the torso - a much lower wear point than the armpit.
I'm bummed because it looks like I'm not a gentle enough person for the vintage cotton tees, despite loving the fit and feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vrla Dressy tee...
Vintage cotton is my favorite J Crew tee, and the metallic silver adds a special dressy touch to this classic piece. It can be worn to a nice restaurant, or just out shopping--either way, this flattering cut and fabric looks GREAT. I also like that the metallic aspect is not too shiny, it's just enough to give this tee more interest, and as much softness as the vintage cotton tee without the metallic feature.

This shirt is okay quality, which is surprising for J.Crew these days, but my problem with it is the shimmer. I thought it would be more subtle (especially since a few reviews say so) - if you're at all minimalist this will probably be wayyyyy too much for you. Could work as an evening top with some other layers to tone it down (blazer, etc) but be aware that if you don't like shiny, you'll definitely feel way too disco ball in this.
