Leather knee boots

Leather knee boots is rated 1.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The unwanted boots I purchased both black and burnished toffee in size 8.5 I was very worried buying these based on the other reviews but I ingress. The quality is really poor on these boots. It's pleather, making it really look very cheap. There's a zipper on the ankle that only goes half way, that's not a great design decision in my opinion. It's neither functional to its purposes nor great for looks especially with raw untrimmed leather. The ankle buldges. The burnished toffee color is flat. It's a very different color than the website. I wish jcrew would publish pictures of the boots in multiple angles. One more thing, the heel on the black boots I receive have a little chip on the very top back where the leather and the base of the boots meet. I've purchased leather boots (ankle, tall and over the knee) from jcrew few years back and those were exceptionally great quality, up par design with its price point. I returned both boots to the store and the store associate was not even surprise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Black extended calf boots I bought these in the black with extended calf size 8. Calf circumference was 15 and 3/4" for those who need to know. What I liked : heel very wearable, simple style, looks flattering on my larger calves. What I didn't like: 1. The leather is very stiff (hope it will break in). 2. Zipper that only comes up bottom half of boot. Why? This is inconvenient and looks strange, would be great if zipped all the way up. 3. Boots are looser around ankle and top of boot and very tight around the middle of the calf, I can't wear these over skinny jeans yet. So more room in the thickest part of the calf would make more sense to me. I am keeping them and hoping to love them as they break in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap and plasticy These were a huge disappointment and I returned them. The leather shaft and soles are pleathery, cheap and plastic like. The ankles bag. The zipper is only partway up the inside and the top is elasticized in an obvious (cheap looking) way, not apparent from photos on the website. I bought the same type of boot three years ago from JCrew, which were nice quality leather and soles and I loved. I have finally worn them out after years of constant use and resoling. These wouldn't last one week. I returned them to the store. Before opening the box the kind man behind the register said, when I said I was returning for poor quality, that he knew just the boots I was likely returning. He was right. He'd had someone else returning the same pair days earlier, also appalled at how bad they were. JCrew should be mortified to have their name appear on these.
