Rated 4 out of 5 by Dresser Pretty, nice coverage, runs small
I ordered a number of bridesmaids dresses for a wedding, and this was one of the few non-strapless options J.Crew has. This is a nice option, but runs super small. I am pretty much a tried and true 6 in J.Crew dresses, and this was so tight I could not zip it up entirely. I own a J.Crew strapless silk chiffon dress from a few years ago, and that's a size 4 and still fits perfectly fine. So size up, ladies! There is no stretch whatsoever so it's better to go bigger and have it altered if need be. If I decided to go with this dress (I did not like the overall cut or style), I'd have to reorder in an 8.

I ordered a size up based on other reviews and had to reorder in my usual size. The dress does not have any stretch, but it has a loose flowy aline skirt. I found the sleeves to be very flattering though on me they are more ruffles than cap sleeves but I am a D cup and the dress does not fit me the same way it does the model.

Pretty great bridesmaid dress for the only option with sleeves. Nice length and great fit. Wish the sleeves were not cutout and were longer. Did have to order several to get one with a consistent fit.

I was so excited to receive this dress after I ordered it as a bridesmaid dress for my brother-in-law's wedding. Unfortunately, as soon as I took it out of the box and tried it on I was disappointed. The fit was AWFUL. It was WAY too small in the bust, to the point that the zipper only went halfway up. The waistline was more empire (on me anyway) and not at my true waist which made everything look ill-fitted. On someone without serious curves, it would be fine. I'm a mom of two and not a stick so it's back to drawing board for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by GEC14 problems with sleeves and seams
I ordered this dress in a larger size to fit my bust, I am usually between a 10 and 12 and prefer fabrics with some give. Based on reviews to size up and my experience with other wedding clothing running small, I went with a 14 and it was too big. The color and fabric are lovely. I ordered champagne to go with my fair skin and planned on wearing to my civil ceremony and a lunch reception. The cap sleeves are unflattering and they lay differently from the online image, more puffy than fitted. The biggest problem for me was the seam in the silk chiffon that runs down the front of the skirt. It should have been designed to go in the back so it isn't visible when the dress in motion. If you are just standing it falls into the creases of the skirt and isn't that visible. The Heidi dress, I'm told by the call center, has the seam to the side. I'm going to give that dress a try in a 12.
