Petite Mirabelle dress in silk chiffon

Petite Mirabelle dress in silk chiffon is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pretty. Wish it fit. I'm 5 foot 2, 95 pounds, 32b chest. I normally wear 00 in dresses at j.crew because petite dresses are normally too high waisted. But often the necklines are too low and the chests too big in generaly, so I tried on the 00p in this dress, and like the other reviewer, it fit perfectly everywhere except the chest. The chest was simultaneously too big and too small. The front v neck fits well only when I stand up straight. Bend over and everyone gets a free show. But the zipper won't go up past my maybe it would fit if it would zip, but it won't zip! I don't want to force the zip...fabric is too delicate. If I size up, the chest will be too loose in the front and I'd have to get it taken in elsewhere. Too much work. The dress is dreamy, and I just loved the yellow color and the cap sleeves. It hit above the knee, which normally I don't like, but it works well here. Very fresh and youthful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute dress, fits small I usually wear a 6-8P and I wear a 10P in this dress. Also, it still needs tailoring. The shoulders are too big, which is unfortunate considering this is a petite dress. I think it should have fit better. My sister picked out this dress for her bridesmaids. It's pretty, but wouldn't have bought it on my own.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from flattering I ordered this in soft peach and loved the color. I little more pink than "peach" but not too much on the pink side. I ordered the size 4 and am usually a 1 or in Jcrew an "XS" ( I read that it ran small) The 4 fits perfect, and am so glad it does because I dont need to get it taken in. Will wear as bridesmaid dress and looking forward to it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For Those of Us that Hate Buying Online Ugh, buying online, but the bride wanted us in JCrew dresses lol. I'm 5'2", I NEVER buy petite because they always seemed to be cut "funny". I'm not "tiny" at 135lbs (butt & thighs). Fingers-crossed I bought a 6P Mirabelle. Of concerns the criss-cross front may open... I'm a B; a small safety pin or added stitching and that won't be a problem for me. The dress feels light and flowy. But the material can snag, like with pantyhose. No one else will notice the snag I found though. The empire waisteband does not stretch, hits tight at/below a bra strap. Another inch of give and it'd be great, like 32in. But it'll work. Anyone wider there, or with a fat belly (as I have usually), this will not zip easily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SHOCKED!!!! I'm in complete utter shock! I have been a J Crew shopper since 1989 and NEVER had to return a garment because of poor fit, until now. In all these years, J Crew clothes always fit me to a tee, never a part out of place, everything from shoulders, bust, waist, hips, etc. as long as I order a 0 or a Petite 2. Their clothes fit me so well that I always felt that J Crew should hire me as a fit model, but obviously their fit model has the same measurements as mine. That's how perfect the clothes fit on me. But something went wrong with the construction of this dress. I ordered both a petite 2 and a 0, because I couldn't decide how long I want the dress to sit on me. I got very excited when the dresses came. Everything fit very well, the shouldes, bust, waist, and hips. I pulled the side zipper up over the hips (easy, it's a full skirt) and past the waist, then I had to stop. My rib cage, right below the bust, is too large. Of course, I couldn't have gained weight in the rib cage.
