Rated 5 out of 5 by Amanda Perfect for work
This is the perfect slip on for work when you don't want to think about it dress. I originally purchased this in sand, but had to return it as the color wasn't flattering for someone fair/blonde (I had hoped it would be!). I also had to size down from a 2-4 to 0. The style of this dress appears to be a little loose, but the 2 looked very frumpy. I just picked it up in navy at the store, and was surprised that the fabric had a bit more more sheen to it. Love the wide hem though, and was very happy with the way it looked all day. So comfortable and classic. It's definitely going to be worn a lot!

I bought this dress in my normal size in the Caribbean Sand. I loved the subtle sexuality of the keyhole, which while deep--even very deep--is decidedly work appropriate.
The color is a very pale beige with just the slightest hint of a blush. No, it is not at all pink, but there is an ever so slight suggestion of it. I do think this color would work better against a tanner skin tone.
The fabric is substantial-- and not just because of the extra draping. (Sidenote: draping does make this run a little bit large.) I guess the best way to describe this would be a polyester if polyester wasn't so awful and flimsy. It has some of that coarseness but it is sturdy. In short, it is an ideal draping fabric which has the flow of polyester but the sturdiness of a cotton-silk blend.
This dress, on its own, is nothing newsworthy. That said, it is a stylist's dream because there is so much you can do with it. The dress can transform dramatically from shoe, scarf, and jewelry changes.

I purchased this dress in navy. I live in a warmer climate and I like the idea of wearing it all year.
This dress is very versatile. I feel that it can go from the office to a happy hour to a cocktail party or to a wedding depending on the shoes and accessories I decide to wear with it. It's such an outstanding piece that it doesn't really require much more accessorizing than a nice lipstick and shoe.
Recently, I purchased the tiered dress in blurred floral in a size 8; however, for this dress, I took a 6. I don't know if that means this dress runs large or the blurred floral ran small. Both dresses fit perfectly. I usually wear a small in j.crew letter sizes and a 6 or 8 in number sizes.
I have small shoulders and a narrow ribcage (34DD); so low-cut things tend to be even lower on me. Although photos might suggest otherwise, when I button the keyhole, you can't see anything. This dress packs a lot of appeal with modesty, as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dresser Heavy, awkward fit
I wanted to LOVE this dress, the sand version seemed so effortless and classic. Too bad the sizing was really off (I had to size down from 6 to 4), and the fabric felt heavy. It's an odd shape with a lower waist, but a belt would help a lot. None of the other reviewers mentioned this, but I thought the darting in the chest was horrible. I am not busty by any means, and there was something about the darts that just stuck out like sore thumbs when I tried it on. If you zoom in on the model, you can see a little bit of it. It was too distracting.

I love this dress. It is extremely flattering and perfect for work. After work cocktails or dinner date? No problem-this dress transitions easily from day to night. The material is beautiful and the cut is extremely flattering. I'm tall and this dress hits just at the knee on me. Very pretty and professional without being stuffy. I love the dress and I am considering buying it in Navy as well. Add a skinny belt for a pop of color and you are ready to go.
