Rated 3 out of 5 by ALDB Lovely coat but far too large!!!
This coat looks lovely in the pictures, but upon receiving it the colour is far darker and the size ran incredibly large. I ordered a 4 so it would comfortably fit bulkier tops underneath if needed, but it felt more like a 6-8?!! I quite honestly looked like I had put on my husbands coat.

Really love the jacket, and the orange is a great pop of color. But, you have to order around 2 sizes smaller than your normal size.

As other reviewers have posted, this trench's "oversize" fit is an understatement. In many boxier styles these past several seasons, JCrew did not maintain standard sizing – if you wear a size 4, order a size 4 – but this was by far the worst item that I encountered. It was simply ginormous. I contemplated doing what another reviewer recommended by going 2 sizes down from my normal size. That might have worked, but I didn't want to find out.
On the positive side, the fabric is high-quality with nice weight and heft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Emmy Not quite like the picture
Like the other reviewers said, this coat runs very large. Buy it TWO sizes smaller (I did and it fit well). It doesn't look like the picture, it's more of a traditional swing coat - wide. Think 1950s. The model pictured wearing the coat must have had it tailored and then some. It's a chic coat and I'm happy with my purchase.

I bought this trench because I liked the idea that it wouldn't be fitted, I like the chic swing fit shown on the model. But I was so disappointed when mine arrived. It's beyond enormous. I wear an 8, bought a 6 and might look OK in a 2 or below. Even the sleeves are too long, so it looks like you're wearing your dad's coat. The orange color is lovely and the quality of the fabric and styling details on the jacket are exceptionally nice. But the fit is ludicrous.
