Rated 1 out of 5 by crister NICE COLOR BUT TOO LONG
The color is great for a simple summer band but the bariatric size requires one to either have a dangling remainder of the strap, or do what I did - cut the extra1.5 inches of strap that flaps around, leaving an ever-fraying end condition. They need to size this watch band to a normal human being like they show in their photos, and not what I imagine to be a larger sized gorilla.

I was hoping to really like this strap. I just ordered the black one and it's way, WAY too long. I don't know what size wrists these are made for but it was HUGE. And when I took it to the store, they couldn't even figure out how to adjust it. It's great quality and the material and color were fine. But for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to make this thing work. I'm returning.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Charles Right idea, but desperately needs work.
The nylon is lovely, and the color is beautiful. That being said— the strap is almost comically long. A pretty quick fix for JCrew's design team, I would think, and (hopefully) the money they save on materials could reflect on the price. Basically, it's a good idea with poor execution. I'd skip this one for now.

I love this watch band. I bought the field army watch with the white face and olive band. I bought the grey replacement strap to switch it up. As other reviewers mention, it is long and I wear the watch on the smallest setting. But what I found is I just take the excess strap, fold it back under my wrist towards me and loop it over the first metal loop on the band and tuck it under the second. Piece of cake. I don't notice it at all. The only thing I'm wondering about is wear and tear. How well does the fabric hold up and can I toss it in the washing machine.

These watch straps are the correct length. They are NATO type straps; which originated in the military. The extra length is designed to allow the user to wear the strap on their wrist, or over the sleeve of a jacket or wetsuit. The excess can be folded into the metal loops. They are easy to swap and mine have been going strong for over a year now. Can't recommend enough.
