Super stylish and versatile blazer. I own it in black, navy, grey, and white linen and must stop myself from buying more. They are the perfect length for wear with slacks, skirts, and jeans. The blazer can be dressed up/down with shoes and jewelry and other accesories. The buttons on the cuffs are functional which is a nice touch that is rarely found.
I recently wore the navy schoolboy blazer on a transAtlantic trip and it held its shape well, carried the essentials in its pockets, and kept me warm and covered when I needed it. All this without attracting lint or wrinkling, even after being shoved into my carry-on a few times.
I own the blazer in size 4, I am 5'4" and weigh 120lbs. I am consistently a size 4 in all J.Crew items.

I have been a J. Crew fan for many years. The schoolboy is an absolute staple in my closet. I own them in several colors and fabrics. They're super versatile, I wear them with jeans and they are the perfect compliment to any of the 'work' dresses that J. Crew sells. My style tip? The schoolboy is perfect for women with smaller bust because the button sits higher than other blazers on the market and because of that the fit is very flattering!

This blazer is beautifully made and made of high quality fabric. I felt it ran a little small. I am a 6 in J.Crew tops, but needed an 8 in the blazer, which will allow a little room for layering. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase!

I bought this blazer in black and navy. I wear size 2 or XS in JCrew, and I took a 2 in this jacket. There is room to wear a thin sweater layer underneath such as the cashmere long sleeve tee. If you want room for more layers or heavier sweaters, I suggest sizing up. I haven't seen any problem with loose threads as some other reviews mentioned. The wool feels great, and it is lined. I will probably replace the gold brassy buttons with a pewter color as I don't like the brassy gold. I also miss the fun linings JCrew used to use; these sleeves are lined in same color as blazer. It can be dressed up or worn with jeans. I have to steam it to remove wrinkles from shipping. Overall I'm pleased. FYI I'm 5'6", 125#, 32B.

J.Crew gets A+ for this one: perfect tailoring and fit, high quality fabric, lovely details (pockets, lining, buttons, contrasting undercollar). Wear it with (almost) anything and you'll instantly look well put together in a nonchalant kind of way. As a reference, I am 120 pounds, 5.5 and a size 2 fits perfectly with one or even two (thin) layers underneath. I like the schoolboy blazer so much I just got my third one. Never tried on the "classic" (shorter) version, so I cannot compare.
