Rated 3 out of 5 by A decent dress, but I expected more from J. Crew. Pretty color. Nice stretchy fabric with substance. Disappointed that the dress wasn't lined (even partially) and didn't have any pockets. And, enough already with the cheap-looking, "exposed" zippers. If your hair is any longer than your shoulders it will catch in the zipper and rip out of your head. Ouch. Whose stupid idea was this to begin with? Also, J. Crew needs to remember that not all women are flat-chested like their models. I have to order a size up so dresses fit up top, but then end up with it being too loose in the waist and hips. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Dress This dress looks super cute, and really hides any hips that you might have. Still deciding how to dress it up, as surprising as that sounds. Very comfy fabric, and the cut is super forgiving. May 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for an hourglass shape I ordered 2 sizes and they both gapped in several places. Even though both sizes seemed big, the dress was pulled across the chest and had gaps that showed the sides of my bra. The pleating was unflattering to my waist and rear. I think the dress would look great on someone with a boyish frame who wanted to create some curves. June 1, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lovely dress, but it didn't fit I ordered the dress in electric red, size 2. I was very surpised to find it was too tight in the bust and much too big in the waist. I could not have solved the problem by ordering one size down or one size up to get a better fit, so I had to return it. And then I remembered why I seldom buy J. Crew dresses: The fabrics and workmanship are usually excellent; however, the dresses seem designed and sized specifically for figures that are straight or boyish. Not all women look like 16-year old boys. Frankly, I got tired of paying to have my J. Crew dresses altered. I'll stick to J. Crew sweaters and jewelry instead. May 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fit and Flatter The black is particularly suitable if you're looking for an LBD to wear Spring into Summer. The 'scuba-fit' hides a multitude of figure flaws for a smooth flattering silhouette. I bought the blue as well but returned it. IMO, A lighter color of the dress shows too much of the seams. I'll pair this with a colorful Jackie cardigan and killer sandals for day into night. May 12, 2014
