Was really excited to see this go on sale - loved the color choices and design. I was very surprised to find, however, that the crossover top is secured only by two tiny threads at the bottom of the V. There is no stitching beneath that to hold the top piece closed and keep it from gapping. I am definitely going to have to reinforce this before I wear it. Don't buy it if you are busty! This will only work on me because I am a 32B.
For sizing, I am normally between a 00 and 0, so I ordered a 00 given that I didn't want it to swallow me up. If you are straight up and down, then I recommend going with your normal size or smaller, if you're between sizes like me. But if you are larger in the hips or stomach, definitely go up a size from what you'd normally wear. There is no "give" in the fabric, and if you are larger than the dress in any areas then it will bunch funny. Baggy is better than bunchy.

I had my eye on this dress for awhile (because I love anything made out of the crepe material), and finally bought it when it went on sale. It's definitely on the large side--I'm a 4/6, and I bought a 6. A 4 would easily have fit me, but, then again, the top IS only secured by two little stitches, and I'm a little busty (36C). (No one wants to pop out!) Besides, the dress is supposed to fit a little on the roomy side. At first I bought it in vivid jade, and liked it so much I went back for the plum. I love the bright, happy, jewel-toned color, and the dress looks great with a jacket or cardi or patterned tights. It's comfy, flattering, and colorful. What's not to love?

Bought this dress for my brothers upcoming wedding rehearsal dinner. Great color and fit. Dress fits true to size. I'm 5'8" 165lbs and the 8 fits perfectly.

I have to dress up (conservatively) for work everyday and I initially bought this piece in green as an alternative to the traditional suiting dresses that I already own. I thought it would be fun with a blazer or cardigan on more casual days in the Spring but when I received it and tried it on, it also works perfectly with a checkered button-down, necklace, tights and wedges now. I tried more ways to style it for various upcoming events and it looked totally different (in a good way) every time. Now I have a dress for several occasions that can be worn year-round. I'm obsessed with the color because it's not so bright that it's inappropriate for work but just bright enough to be interesting and the fabric is super comfortable. My only slight critique is that this dress runs a little big up top so size down if you're smaller up top (I wear two different sizes in J.Crew dresses depending on the cut and I ordered the smaller of the two and it fit perfectly).
