The style and fit of this top are great - it seemed pretty true to size and I loved the placement of the cutouts. However, the quality is bad; the silk chiffon felt and looked more like cheap organza. Very disappointing.

This top is amazing! I completely disagree with the other review that says it's poor quality. It's soft and the silk is slightly stiff and itchy but it doesn't bother me at all. I originally ordered this in an xx-small (my usual size in j.crew) but it was more fitted than it appears on the model so I returned it and ordered it in x-small because I liked the loose fit on the model (for reference I'm 5'4'' 105 lbs). I love it! Dress it up or down, it's perfect!

I love the way this shirt looks on but the mesh or other fabric that is sheer is NOT soft at all. It itches me every time I wear this shirt (I have it in ivory and black). It's not bad enough to return, but it definitely makes me not want to wear it for long periods of time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JulieB Great for transition to fall.
Call it claret or burgundy or wine but I have been purchasing a lot of this color for fall. This top is prefect for fall/winter in my So Cal location, and will travel well as a piece for layering when I go east. The seaming and fabric are quality and the stretch gives it great ease of movement. A couple of notes: it has a sheer stripe down the side (I didn't notice this in online photos), and the shoulders are cut a little wider than other j crew tops in size L. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.

I love the style of this shirt and received compliments when I wore it. The silk is slightly itchy. When I washed it in cold water and minimal detergent, the silk trim on the sleeves faded unequally. Now all the silk trim is slightly different, darker at the top, one sleeve slightly darker than the other.
