Rated 5 out of 5 by Libra Lady Day Coat
The Lady Day Coat is a coat worth every penny! For size reference, I'm 5'8, 145lbs, 36B, and a size six fits perfectly with a light sweater (if you're keen on wearing thicker layers like cable knits you may want to consider sizing up). The hem of the coat hits at my knees, and the sleeves are a generous length and not cut too slim (I have fairly long arms!). The tailoring gives you a really streamlined look, perfect for professional, formal, and casual occasions. The Thinsulate does the trick during the cold New England winters! This coat also wears really well, it doesn't really wrinkle with wear. I really like the fabric used for this coat as well. My cheaper coats pilled, collected lint, and look dingy after one season, but my Lady Day Coat always looks pristine! This coat is worth the investment!

Rated 3 out of 5 by trulypetite what is petite
I am 5'2.5", around 112lbs. I have a pretty proportional figure though I am a bit big in the chest. I originally ordered a 2P. The arms were way to short though everything else fit well. I have never had that problem. After lots of trial and error, I found that the best option for me was the 00 Regular. I don't understand the sizing at all. I have never worn a 00 in anything, ever. It is snugger than I would like on the chest but it is the closest fit in every other aspect. As you can imagine, this was quite the ordeal seeing as A) the coat is sold only online and B) the measurements on the sizing chart are not at all accurate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mislead Returning this coat NOW
I was so excited to purchase my second Lady Day coat...my first was the famous green color, purchased almost 8 years ago (which is still in great condition). I had received so many compliments on my green coat which persuaded me to purchase the same coat again. I was highly disappointed from the moment I opened the box. Not only did I receive the coat completely wrinkled, the color (I ordered the color as shown on the model) was more like a bright neon orange. As the picture shows, the pockets were NOT located on the front of the coat but located on the hip, towards the back. I felt like they added the pockets last as an after thought. The lining was made of a cheap material that looked like it would tear easily. The thinsulate gathered up at the bottom of the coat and gave the look of a uneven hem line. The small craftsman details were, well, just not there. I don't know what's going on with JCrew but they need to step up their product quality before they loose their loyal customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarah Want to buy one in every color
If I could, I would buy one of these coats in every color! I have it in ivory and in black- it's impeccably stylish. The image they have up right now does not do it justice. It nips in at the waist creating a very lady-like silhouette, even when bundled up for winter. Love love love this coat!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Marina not a good investment
During first three seasons of fall/spring wear, lining has ripped around and inside the sleeves, on the back, inside the pockets.. beyond repair. I don't have long nails and don't wear big rings. The coat looks very good and elegant, but the lining situation is so unfortunate that will not last for two more years.. Would not buy another one.
