I ordered these in gold, hoping to replace my beloved Cece gold flats. The quality of these flats is not as good as the Cece: they are not made in Italy, they are much flimsier, and they lack any cushioning. Also, the toe is boxy and the vamp is cut way too high -- this makes for a very dowdy looking flat that covers much of the top of your foot. The high vamp also makes the toe box feel narrow. Overall, a pretty big disappointment.

Please. The Emma is not the same. Lower quality and awkward fit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Danielle The toe is the problem
The front part of the Emma shoe comes up too high and is uncomfortable on the tops of your feet, no matter what size you try. Jcrew should bring back the Cece which was lower on the foot (showed a slight bit of toe cleavage) and was thus much more comfortable!

I really liked these flats; however I was trying to replace another pair in which the silver finish had worn off and feared that these would suffer the same fate. Since both pairs were suede, it may be inevitable but I wasn't willing to take the risk.
