I have been wearing the wedge flip flop for years. I bought them in every color back when J Crew offered a plethora of fantastic hues. They were very comfortable and really could take a beating. They lasted for several years. The new wedge flip flop is a different design. They are not comfortable; the sole is rigid and hard. The rubber in between my toes broke after a few wearings. And, as others mention, they smell really weird. J Crew, go back to whomever was your original manufacturer. These are pretty much unwearable.

I have purchased this style of flip flop for years and love them. They last for a very long time. unfortunately the pair I ordered this spring is very uncomfortable. The soles do not give much, it is like walking on concrete. Very disappointed.

I love the look of these flip flops but am very disappointed with the quality. Mine broke right at the v by the toes. I exchanged them for a new pair and the same thing happened!!! I really want to purchase another pair but am afraid to because I don't want them to break again!

I had ordered this flipflop in two colors after the first of the year. By April one pair had broken at the vee near the toes and I started wearing the other pair and it came to the same end about a month later.
Because this type of wedged flipflop isn't easy to find with the thinner top straps I again ordered another black pair until I could find something else. I have only been wearing them for a week or so, so so far so good. I have never had flip flops do this -- split at the vee -- and there is nothing that I can think of to stop it once it starts. I guess I expected better quality from J Crew.
