Rated 3 out of 5 by Look great, feel painful I, too, was super pumped on these in the catalog, so I took advantage of the 30% off. The first thing I noticed when I opened them was the terrible synthetic stench of the plastic sole, which I totally expected to be leather. Not cool. The Capris still have leather soles, right? I think that should be a given for sandals at that price. They look AWESOME on, and they fit well, but they are difficult to walk in, since they slide off a little bit. And they gave me painful blisters upon first wear. I'm not sure if I would recommend them, given the pain and toxic odor. But they look awesome! Ha-ha. June 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for everyone While I have a lot of JCrew shoes that fit me well, this pair was off the mark. I like the idea and the simplicity of style but if you have a high volume foot, the placement of the straps will not look nice or be comfortable. They run true to size. May 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute, but odd fit These shoes are cute and good quality, but I have a hard time walking in them. They slide off my foot as I walk, maybe due to strap placement. May 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by You may need to re-master the art of walking… Ordered Malta and Joie Sable which, despite outrageous price, I almost kept because it was dressier (black patent with matching footbed). Sable straps also seemed to cradle my feet better but I was concerned the slickness of the sandal would cause my feet to slide right out – so I opted to keep the Malta. Attractive shoe - but not very practical. Straps are bonded leather and will likely stretch with wear or accidental exposure to water. Footbed is thin, hard, and lacking support/cushioning. Length TTS but made for higher arch - on me, toe strap is a little snug while instep strap is a little loose. I have to firmly wedge my toes beneath the front strap, then spread and flex them upward while walking - with an occasional foot shuffle to tighten the toe lodging when the sandal begins to slip. After years of clenching in thongs, this is not intuitive – or graceful. I look like a duck-footed geisha…in a cute pair of shoes. July 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not enough structure for me I tried these sandals on in-store and ultimately left them there . . . many reviewers really like them, but I found they just didn't have enough structure for me and I kept slipping out of them while walking around. They appeared well-made and I would have loved to add the neutral colors, the Bright Royal, and the Mirror Metallic to my collection! May 17, 2014
