Vibrant colors and super comfortable. I sized up 1/2 size...my regular size was too tight. I have narrow feet so you may need to size up a full size if your foot is on the wider side.
They took no time to "break in" and were comfortable right out of the box.
Also worth noting...they aren't bulky like some sneakers which makes them much less weighty and I think more comfortable/less hot on the foot.

I just received my New Balance 420 Sneakers and I am super disappointed. I ordered them on a final sale. Usually I would not do that on an item where I would be unsure of the fit. I usually wear a size 9, but every once in a while I have to order up a half size. So to be safe I ordered these in a 9.5. They go on my feet but are very tight. I am very doubtful they will "stretch" enough to ever become comfortable :(
So bottom line, beware....in this instance the shoes run very small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by anon Smaller and narrower than the NB 620s
I generally wear a 5.5 in dress shoes (no socks) and a size 6 in casual shoes (with socks). With thin liner socks, the NB 620s in a size 6 feel slightly big, but the size 6 in the 420s feels just right. I have an average width foot, and the width feels slightly snug, but I like it that way, and my feet don't feel like they are slipping around in the shoe.

Really pleased with these sneakers. Order a half size up. I am 6.5 and ordered a 7, which is normal for athletic type shoes. Also, they are a little narrow but are already beginning to form to my medium/wide foot. I have coveted the sporty, retro colors used for mens sneakers for a long time- so excited to finally have some of my own.

These sneakers are great looking with jeans or with your workout pants! I bought 2 pairs one for the health club and one for the day the day wear!
