These shorts run small. I ordered my pre-pregnancy size and they were way too tight in the hips (I am 6 months pregnant 5'5 and pre-pregnancy size was a 28/29) They are also super low cut so some women may not like that. I ended up ordering a size 31 and they are much more comfortable. I would recommend that you try a few different sizes and see what works best for you. I think JCREW still has some work to do on the fit of their maternity shorts. Overall I would still recommend these shorts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ARB1 A bit on the small side, but great.
I would recommend ordering an inch up from your pre-pregnancy size as I don't think they give quite as much room for hip growth as they could. I am 20 weeks and these are already a bit tight, though I ordered my pre-pregnancy size and am on track with my pregnancy weight gain. That being said, they are great looking jean shorts, which are hard to find for a pregnant lady. Not as comfortable as your usual elastic band shorts, but good for when you don't want to look like you are wearing elastic band shorts!

I get so many compliments on these shorts when I were them. People don't believe that they are maternity. They are very comfortable and stylish. They make me feel like I'm not wearing maternity clothing.

I am ALWAYS a 2 or a 26-27 in JCrew pants. I am about 7 months pregnant, (up about 20 lbs) and so i ordered these in a 28. They are almost too small already. If you want to wear these to full term, I'd size up 2 sizes. I think I might be able to wear these for a little while longer, I'll just have to wear them a tad lower, and maybe risk stretching out the elastic. I am carrying low, and out front, so perhaps that is part of why they dont fit me as well! But, they are super cute - just order up!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Liza Best maternity shorts I've found...
I agree with the previous reviewer that these run small. I ordered a size up from my pre-pregnancy size and could have gone up another size. These fit now, but I worry about their lasting power as I am only 20 weeks and don't feel like there is a ton of room to grow in these shorts. That being said, they are very comfortable (SO HAPPY not to have a giant band over my belly on hot days) and I think they look really good. These are just the right length, not too short but not frumpy. I'm 5'4 and they hit mid-thigh. They are low-cut, but seem to be a bit higher in the back, so they don't feel like they're falling down. My only complaint is that they are expensive, but as they do have a normal button fly and belt loops I'm hoping they could work postpartum as well.
