I was realy hopeful for this dress as a work staple. While the fabric is just as I would expect from super 120 wool at j.crew, the dress was no where near the a-line it was descrined as. Instead, it was very tight and fitted through the hips and thighs and then flounced out strongly at the knee. For some one specifically looking for a good a-line suiting dress, it wasnt going to work, even going up another size. It unfortunately had to go back. Please bring back a classic a-line suiting dress for those of us who can't wear shift dresses!

I was originally looking for a sheath dress but saw this and couldn't resist. It is great and in my opinion looks better in person than in the pictures. The details are amazing. The seaming helps follow your curves. The skirt has a few pleats and flares at the bottom, so cute. This is great and almost has a retro feel. Pairs well with a cropped cardigan to help carry it colder weather. Great look for work. Has some flair and style without going overboard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by katieM Great work dress
I have been waiting for J. Crew to come out with an A-line Super 120s dress for a long time, as I have hips and the pencil styles don't suit me as well. I love this dress. It's feminine but not so flouncy that I feel like I'm going to a party rather than work. I found it generally true to size (too big for me on the top but fits in the hips...will get the top tailored but for now I'm wearing it with a belt), and I disagree with the reviewer who said it is not A-line. I think with the proper size, it is.

I bought this dress to wear to work. It looks great underneath a blazer. You can also dress it up with a statement necklace and wear it out after work without feeling like you're in "work clothes." The drop-waist fit is very flattering. Highly recommend!
