I'm 5'9" tall and usually wear a size 6 or 8 in JCrew skirts and a size 6 in their pants. So I ordered a MD in this skirt but I'm thinking that a small would have probably fit better. It's as though they took a nice wool blend sweater material, shaped it into a fluted skirt and then added a zipper. I'm really concerned that this skirt may start unraveling around the waist band in the very near future, as a already see minor signs of this happening around the top of the zipper opening.
Thus the two star rating for quality. I'm thinking about taking it to a seamstress to have a waistband added but I'll probably end up returning it because as this price point, I shouldn't have to do that. I think that the skirt runs slightly large as it doesn't hug my 28" waist the way that I would expect it to. I think that it's a bit too long for me, longer than it is on the model and I consider our heights comparable (I have a 34" inseam for reference) and it hits me just above my knees.

This skirt will be a great addition to my winter wardrobe. The knit material is soft and stretchy while still holding shape and just sooo comfortable to wear. It looks flattering on and will go well with cropped sweaters due to the high waist. Do make sure to size up from your normal J.Crew size - I normally take a Small in fluted skirts like this, but had to take a Medium for this particular style.
