This ribbed merino wool crewneck does double duty: It's polished enough for work but comfy enough for the weekend (aka it's one you can justify getting in multiples). Even better? With its elongated length, it makes the perfect layering piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great lightweight sweater, but why not black? I'm 5'3", athletic build, and wear a small in the Tippi sweater, but the small in this one stretched a bit on me making it a little too sheer, even in the darker colors. I went up to a medium and am very happy. It's soft, it can be tucked or left out, it looks equally great with jeans or a pencil skirt, and it's made of merino and not cashmere (yeah!). But, why on earth doesn't JCrew make this sweater in black??? Like most women, I wear a lot of black and like to expand my collection of black sweaters for some variety during the winter. What a shame I can't add this one. August 11, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Wanted to Love... Adored this sweater - fit true to size, was so comfortable, looked chic & pulled together with minimal effort... But within two wears, without any washing, the threading came apart at the neckline & it now has a gaping hole! I'll still wear around the house, but unfortunately, won't be purchasing anymore of this item. August 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Chic and soft I fell in love with this sweater the moment I put it on. The merino is as soft as cashmere and feels great on your skin. This is a fantastic layering piece or can be worn on its own, dressed up or down. A great transition piece to wear as the weather begins to turn. My one concern is how well this will hold up. It's lightweight and the knit fabric is delicate, so take care if you're wearing jewelry that could catch and pull the yarn. It does run small. I'm typically a small in J. Crew (5'5", 120 lb, slim build), and tried on the S and the M. I could get away with a small, but it fit very snugly. I went with the medium and am glad I did. I wish that J. Crew had offered this in a black, a practical and elegant color that would have given me a lot of wardrobe flexibility. I travel a lot on business and look for pieces like this, which pack well and emerge from a suitcase without wrinkling. August 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by fall- winter sweater I love this sweater it's really pretty, it's perfect for fall and then in the winter you can layer on a cardigan... but it runs really snug so I went up a size August 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great basic I like my knits roomy and oversized but this time I went for a size Small as this style suppose to fit snug. The fit is great but the sleeves could be longer (they barely hit my wrist bone). I am 5'7" with shoulders on a broader side and I take S or M in tops and 6 in shirts. Rosewood is such a beautiful and flattering color! Love it. August 12, 2014
