Rated 5 out of 5 by a nice utility vest I really like the different greens in this utility vest and thought it made it unique. I also love the beautiful gold hardware against the army green canvas. It is a longer and oversized fit as stated in the description. I'm 5'3 and a 00 and took my true size because i wanted it to fit as designed. However I do think you can go 1size down if you want it a little more fitted. The standing collar gives this vest a chic and fashionable feel. Be aware if you are very short or have wider hips, you may not like this vest because of the length and very straight cut. The quality is really great and the material has a nice weight to it. The inside of the vest has a quilted lining so the vest is much warmer than I thought it would be without adding bulk. August 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this vest! I have been looking for a utility vest in fatigue, something a tad oversized like I borrowed it from my boyfriend. This one is perfect! I am fairly tall and typically wear a size medium tall or 6/8tall at jcrew. Love the oversized look of this vest and chose to purchase the size small over my usual medium. This is the perfect piece to throw on with jeans, over workout wear or dress up for that unexpected pop. September 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for fall/winter layering! Got this on sale and love it! J. Crew has had a lot of versatile jackets lately, and this fits right in with them. Though like many of its new styles, this vest is on the boxy side and runs large. It seems a bit long but a good length for fall/winter. I usually wear a m/l or 10/12 tops but luckily tried it on in-store. For a more fitted fit, I was able to fit an x-small with a light sweater on. Love the gold hardware, different greens, plus there's a quilted lining and has a good weight to it which will keep you quite warm! September 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cute but awkward sizing I love the idea of this vest, and it's very practical, especially for my job outdoors on shoot days, unfortunately the sizing is just very strange. I am 5'4 and 125lbs and normally wear a size small. I ordered a small in this as I read reviews saying that it runs very large and I wanted it to be a little big on me, as that is the look of this vest. However, when I zip it up, it is tight on my hips and very open/broad and boxy looking at my shoulders. The neck is very high, and it is not for those without long necks as the material stands straight up and will hit your chin and jawbone unless you make an effort to fold the neck down while wearing the vest unzipped (which seems to be the only way I will be able to wear it comfortably because of this). I got this vest at an extra 40% of already reduced price, so it was a great deal anyway. October 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too big, too bad I could tell from the model picture that the vest seemed long, but when I tried it on in person it was not only long but overwhelmingly large in all areas. I usually wear a M on top because of broad shoulders, so I ordered a small. It was very long, but also overly wide, and the standing collar so tall that it felt like it covered half my face. I don't think a smaller size would have helped; this vest seemed to have been designed for an Amazon. The color and fabric were beautiful and I really wanted to love it. But sadly, I will be returning. July 31, 2014
