Rated 1 out of 5 by 2012/2013 quality? AWESOME. Current quality? SAD! I own MANY of these. These are a wardrobe staple in the hot/humid NYC summers. But, as of summer 2013, the quality of this cami plummeted. To prove my point, this summer I ordered the EXACT same colors in the EXACT same sizes (i.e., black, cobalt blue) and compared to my 2012 versions. NO COMPARISON. The silk is cheaper, thinner and the overall quality has dropped significantly. When I took the new, low quality ones back to the store for the return, I had the old ones with me to make my point. The sales girl helping me was super friendly and very acknowledging -- noting rising fabric costs, etc. Her manager agreed and urged me to send in my feedback. So, here you go. Super sad. I get that prices rise. But, given this HUGE drop in quality, I've already taken my business elsewhere. Sad. So sad. I really miss the old, high quality JCrew products, as I notice the JCrew cashmere items have surged in price and plummeted in quality as well. July 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by previously poor quality WHAT HAPPENED TO THE QUALITY, JCREW?!? I started buying these camisoles in bulk when they were first offered, and they became my most beloved staple (somehow sexy yet sophisticated, professional and polished). Equally stunning under my blazers at work, sexy sleepwear, en seul with leather pants for date night, and a fabulous alternative to a cotton tank in summer. They only got better over time as the silk softened and weathered...I travel constantly for work and these even did great with shampoo in a hotel sink. Honestly, they were miracle tops. AND THEN I ORDERED THEM THIS SPRING. What a disaster. The silk is thin and cheap - not tissue-thin luxe, just cheap. The silk fibers are short and rough and after a painstakingly gentle washing the fibers had separated into little pulls. They are transparent and end up looking like a very cheap slip instead of something that can stand alone and hold its own as an actual garment. August 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor quality - waste of money I loved these camisoles when I tried them on, so I purchased three. I got a maximum of two wears before two of them had to thrown out. The dye was cheap and after one launder took on a tied dyed effect. They are no longer wearable. I am incredibly disappointed with the poor quality and feel this was a waste of my money. I expected better of jcrew. September 29, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by J Crew, please stop cutting corners re/ quality! The previous camisoles is in this line were far superior. This version is see-through, too thin, and does not look appropriate for a business or work setting. Very disappointed. J Crew, PLEASE stop cutting corners in the quality department. Lighter colors are extremely see-thought, other colors are as well. December 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Skip this one Sorry JCrew - this one's a big miss for me. The weave on the silk is very thin - almost sheer - and looks a little cheap. The cut is shapeless, and not particularly flattering. I also purchased the Carrie Cami, which yes was much more expensive, but has become my new favorite. The difference in the quality of the silk used is quite apparent. May 5, 2014
