Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the colors I cannot tell a lie: I wound up purchasing a green as well as a nut brown. I couldn't decide. They're a comfortable but attractive trench coat--good classic lines, and well made. Nice striped lining, and warm enough with sweaters and layers beneath to go several seasons. They run a big big--I usually wear a 2 or often smaller in J Crew, but I ordered a 4 thinking I'd want the room. It was really too big and I wound up with the size 2 after all. Nice classic coat but with a twist in these 2 colors--they stand out. I'm wearing the green one on a trip to Minnesota as we speak--needed the warmth and am glad I brought it along. I got a compliment in the airport already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great, lined trench! I bought the green. the longer length, compared to the icon trench, I much prefer. here in Charlotte NC, I will be able to wear this except on very very cold days. VERY flattering: the pictures do not do justice to the chest/top when coat is buttoned. the look is of a much more expensive trench

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Updated Classic I own last Spring's sand colored washed trench and love it. This one raises the bar. It is less structured than the Icon Trench but in a nice polished cloth with a great striped lining which is business or casual ready. I found it to run more generously than most J Crew blazers so I sized down. I'm 5' 5" and the sleeves are a good length but look really nice turned back to expose the lining. You will wear this for years....do it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty nice I ordered this trench in my usual J.Crew size 6 and found it to be bit roomy, especially in the arms and around the waist (I'm 5'10). The arms are also a bit short in addition to being very wide. On me, it almost seems like the sleeves belled at the ends. I have long skinny arms, though, so this may not be a problem for others. The other issue is that the buckles look and feel very cheap. I would have preferred a tortoise shell type plastic for the buckles instead of fake leather. Overall though, it's a good trench at a good price. I had been looking for a trench in a nut brown colour, with details like epaulets, wind flaps, and that thing on the back of the collar that keeps it standing. I like the longer length of it, too. It's a good piece for fall and spring and for both work and weekends. Ultimately I am going to keep it, but will probably get a couple of alternations done such as narrowing the sleeves and tucking in the waist a bit, which I usually do with outerwear anyway.
