I didn't want to love this shirt. It sure ain't cheap, plus I already have 3 other white button downs. Finally, when it was on sale, I broke down and ordered it; was half hoping once I saw it up close and personal, I'd realize the shirt wasn't really all that and return it. No such luck. It's elegant, tailored, a little edgy -- makes me feel like Lauren Bacall!

This shirt seems incredibly elegant for the price point. It's so lovely. I'm 5'6 size 4 and the fit and length are perfect. It's versatile enough to wear casually with pants & flats or more formally with a pencil skirt or textured bottoms. I feel like it is something a foreign dignitary would wear yet it will be a perfect for me to wear on my suburban errands. Holla!

Rated 4 out of 5 by twil sleeves were a bit short
Upon reading other reviews, I bought a size 10, rather than my typical 12. I am 5'11". The 10 sizing was good in the shoulders and provides a loose flowing fit. The only problem is that the sleeves are at least 2 inches too short. I will have to wear them rolled up.

I really like the crispness of this blouse. The tuxedo style and mandarin collar are a nice twist on a classic white blouse. The material feels good and is high quality. Unfortunately, the size 8 was a tad tight (bra size is 34DD for reference), so I exchanged it for a 10. I have not received the new size yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by OmBaby Great for broad shoulders
When I read other reviews saying that the shirt is big in the shoulders, I knew it might work for me. I'm 5'8, 140 with broad shoulders and a long torso and normally if a shirt fits my back and chest, it's too big in the waist. I normally find myself between sizes in jcrew shirts and so I don't have too many and to find this one that fit so well is a treat. I bought the 8 and its darn near perfect.
The fabric is going to wrinkle, but since the bib and cuffs are textured, it will keep it from looking too messy. Many reviews complained about the buttons, but I didn't think this was a problem at all. For me, the button holes are the problem. Mine has lots of little threads I will need to trim. I can live with it, but seeing so many little threads on a expensive blouse did not thrill me. All in all, it's a great purchase and I will see how it launders and wears and decide if I become a Thomas Mason shirting devotee.
