Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the shape I really like this dress. The fullness of the skirt, the slim fit of the top. Word of warning though, the top is a bit snug and the neckline hits high. I can often wear a 0, sometimes a 2. The 0 on this was the best fit, otherwise there is just too much volume overall. I kept the 0 and am about to take it to a tailor to drop the neckline. Otherwise, it's a great dress. Same great quality suiting fabric. July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic! Dress fits true to size. Gorgeous blue, classic lines and fit although detailing on the back make it special and unique. August 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pros and Cons I love all JCrew clothes so it is highly unusual that I have anything bad to say about them. For me, the neckline is just too high. It makes the dress look a bit odd and a little uncomfortable. I bought my typical size 2 and yet the bust area is too tight. The tie on the back of the neck is out of place for an office dress. Overall, the style just doesn't suit me. The fabric, quality of workmanship and length are perfect. If I had not already worn it, I would definitely take it back. Mine is in black so I reach for it and then regret wearing it. Not a fan of this particular dress. July 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Impressed! It seems I always have different opinions comparing to the other customers. I had high hope for the dress: high neck line, unique back detail, and the "falls below knee" length. In order to make sure I get it right, I ordered both my J crew sizes, 2 and 4. But the day they arrived was also the day they both went back. I am so disappointed to the point that I am upset! Unlike the other reviewers, the high neckline did not bother me at all. What bothered me was the fit of the skirt part. It was huge , and the pleads were at weird spots in the front an back which is unflattering. What really upset me was the length, it was way above the knee. For reference I am 5ft7, not tall enough to make a "fall below knee" dress look like way above knee. The reason that I am angry is this was not the first or second or third or...time that I had the same problem with J Crew. Get your description right, J Crew! August 10, 2014
