I have to admit, I was skeptical of buying a top with ruffles. I'll just come right out and say it - I'm a broad-shouldered gal. But I was drawn in by the beautiful fabric. I had to try it. So glad I did! I definitely do not look like a line-backer (as I feared I might).
The fit is true-to-size. Skims the body without clinging. Beautiful, feminine fit. No gape-otis in the armpits. The fabric is silky but has a substantial weight to it. It doesn't feel flimsy. The print is lovely and the colors are vibrant. I will be wearing this top a lot this autumn, layered under a cardigan or a blazer when it gets cooler.
Only drawback for some might be that it is dry-clean only. Not a deal-breaker for me, but good for others to know.
Highly recommend. Let's just try not to wear it to the office on the same day, okay?

This is a very pretty, very flattering top. As an apple shape, I usually look for darker tops that slim, but this one is quite flattering despite the print. The colors are beautiful and the cut is great - armholes aren't too low nor is the neckline. I went up size but if you're not big busted, its probably true to size. Don't love the need to dry clean, but so be it.

I had such high hopes for a good pretty/functional, work/play top like from J Crew of yore. And this is nice! But just a few simple fixes could've made it so much better. The stitching throughout is pale blue thread, which would be fine except in the very prominent collar ruffle detail: here it looks like trying-to-hide-but-obvious in pale blue and so the chain stitching appears a bit cheap. In darker blue or in brown it would've looked cool and graphic, like intentional detailing rather than machined sloppiness. Bummed the designers missed this.
Sizing is a bit large and blousey, btw--I took a 0, though I'm often a 2-4 in closer-fitting J Crew shirts and dresses (34-28-35, 34a). The silk seems sturdy and non-sheer, and the print hides a multitude of sins without searing the eyes.

I am hesitant when it comes to "pajama prints" and ruffles combined - but in this top, it was a great combo. I wore the blouse for the first time underneath a basic grey suit/skirt combo - and for some reason got tons of compliments that day. Was it the shirt? Possibly! My husband loved it too.
The jewel tones are gorgeous in person.. deep metal blues and burgandies, will definitely try styling this with my gray palette; and then also some deeper jewel tones as well. Fit is true to size.

Good quality blouse. The fit is true to size. I personally would like some darts in the back to give it a slightly cleaner line to the body, but again, a personal preference. The pattern is lovely and the blouse goes well with pants jeans and skirts.
