Good quality, it just did not fit me well at all. It is very straight up and down. It would have fit me when I was 8 years old. There is little stretch in it. Not for curvy figures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mira Classic Skirt in Versatile Neutrals.
This stretch cotton skirt is medium weight, in between J. Crew’s high-twist cotton and double-serge cotton. The fabric content is 58% cotton, 38% viscose, 4% spandex. Fully lined in polyester. I hesitated to buy this skirt, because I felt that the cotton blend would not hold up as well as 100% cotton. But, when I saw the skirt in a store, I liked the quality. I have the Dusty Dune color, which goes nicely with neutrals and is also nice with a splash of color, like burgundy or blue. I’m puzzled by the addition of spandex. The skirt is a bit stretchy, but the lining does not stretch, and the fit is no different than non-stretch skirts. So I don’t see the point. It wrinkles pretty badly. I would have preferred a high-twist cotton that is more durable and wrinkle-resistant. But I’m glad to have this color, and I appreciate J. Crew offering pencil skirts in neutrals. The garment I received is true to the size charts in the hips but big in the waist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JenniferD Closet Workhorse for Summer
I bought this skirt in Vanilla White, Dusty Dune, and Navy as I need to step it up at work every once in a while. The colors are classic and a great base for a variety of casual (fitted t-shirt), more than casual (cotton blouse), and dressy (silk) tops. It can be worn with flats or heels. The skirt can also be paired with the Thompson Blazer in Stretch Cotton for a more formal look. I am usually a Size 6 in J.Crew skirts (but sometimes a Size 4) - I took a Size 6 in this item. I am 5'7", and the skirt hits at the knee. The skirt is also lined, which is a must-have for me. I plan on getting a lot of use out of these skirts as they are a great summer option - still businesslike, but more seasonally appropriate than darker wool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mirene Stylish, Well Made Pencil Skirt
This skirt is made from a stretch-cotton fabric and has a nice lining on the inside. I purchased the skirt navy. It has a nice sheen (not too much) and the fabric is soft and stretchy to the touch. I was suprised by the quality of the skirt because I think its rather well-made (i.e. fabric quality, weight, lining, stitching, etc.) for a lighter weight summer skirt. I had it altered in the waist and length for a more custom fit. Overall it is a great value for the price and very flattering on. I wear it with a long sleeve cashmere T-shirt from JCrew and some cute navy wedge heels to the office- looks great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jackie Odd waist
The waist on this skirt seems slightly too large - it folds over on me throughout the day. Overall, the skirt fits well but this one part is odd. I may need to take it to the tailor to bring in the waist slightly so that it doesn't do this any more
