Sailor skirt in ponte

Sailor skirt in ponte is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ponte On Point! Finally, J Crew has returned to the predictable and reliable sizing that was missing for a little while in the size 12 skirts! The buttons are oddly placed, like not in a perfect line with the seams but I think that adds a unique beauty to the skirt. Absolutely love the Ponte fabric and beautiful true navy! I now prefer pencil skirts due to so many skirts that are too full which creates a balloon/parachute effect for my size! However, this sailor skirt has a tailored flattering flair, dressy yet comfortable especially in the soft waistband which is very helpful when my days are too long or if I am traveling! This is what I have searched for in many stores so J Crew, please offer more skirts in this three/maybe four season awesome fabric, paying close attention to the tailoring and styling. Thanks Designers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Skirt Tried this on in the store. They had to dig it out of the back for me from shipment. It is well made, substantial material, and very cute. The ponte was a little stiff, but after buying and loving their ponte knit crop pants, I know it would soften up after washing it and hanging nicely I tried on the 12 and it fit well. did not flatter my figure though. I am curvy and pencil skirts work great for me, but I think for someone else with a thinner/athletic figure it would be great! Since it is fitted at the top and flared out it just did nothing for me personally but added pounds....but still a 5 star in my book for others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Short People Beware! I'm 5'1", and often wear longer skirts. I ordered my usual size 6, and cringed when I looked in the mirror. I looked really dumpy - not a look I aspire to. Totally unflattering, and it seemed to run a little small, particularly in the thighs (and my hips & thighs aren't overly big). Going back ASAP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfy, chic skirt I tried this skirt on at the store. The color was good, and the fabric was thick enough for fall and early winter. The size was true to thd size. I tried it on with a white shirt, and it was not only stylish but also comfortable. You can dress it up or down!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from promising, but not right I had great hopes for this skirt, but at the end I decided to return it. I am looking for a dark blue skirt that would look stylish but could be worn every day. This one was too long and because of that looked dowdy. For a moment I thought I could shorten it and be able to keep it, but at the end decided against it. In my opinion the material is too thin and soft and the pleats don't keep shape. Good attempt - I especially like the buttons.
