Lightweight merino wool tunic sweater
Product Details

Layers like merino, feels like cashmere. The secret is the gauge of the knit—the higher the number, the finer the fabric. It takes longer to knit, but it's worth it—not only is it super-drapey, it also takes color really well (and everyone knows how much we love our colors). Fitted in the shoulders but with an easy swingy silhouette (including side slits at the hem), this sweater is one to have in multiples.

  • Merino wool in a 16-gauge knit.
  • Bracelet sleeves.
  • Rib trim at neck, cuffs and hem.
  • Dry clean.
  • Import.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Watch out for the side slits.... I had been wanting this sweater forever - in having a long torso, I got excited at the tunic length and lightweight material for spring! Unfortunately I was NOT a fan at all.....the unnecessarily high side slits were a major turn-off for me. Very unflattering and what is the point? The images didn't showcase this well enough so it was quite the unwelcome surprise when I ripped upon the bag to try it on. So bummed because I really wanted to love this sweater! May 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not your Mom's tunic The SA was ecstatic when I brought these to the register - she felt these sweaters are J. Crews sleeper hit of the season. The drape is lovely, and the darker colors are not so sheer that you need an under-layer, although you may want to style them with a contrasting color cami to peek through the side slits. As an 80's girl, I believe leggings require butt coverage, and these sweaters are just long enough on me: I'm 5'4", 130 lbs, and the S is just loose enough to drape well over my hips. The material is good enough to be a work sweater, but the style is too casual for a conservative office. May 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect lightweight sweater This sweater is fabulous! The material is the perfect weight for spring and cooler summer days. The sweater drapes really well, due partially to its "swing" style. It was unclear from the photos online, but the sweater actually has hidden side slits that go up to your natural waist. This allows the sweater to breathe and drape well while sitting, but if you don't pay attention, you'll end up showing some skin from time to time. This isn't really a big deal, but it was an unexpected surprise when the sweater arrived. The one potential issue with the sweater is that I can see that the fabric may pill easily, but I'm guessing it's nothing that a sweater stone can't fix. I purchased both colors and they're great - the blue is especially gorgeous and vibrant. May 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spring Staple I love this sweater! And yes I am one of those people, when I like something I buy it in multiples. And this sweater is one I really really like. I've purchase it in both a small and extra small. I'm 141 lbs/ 5'10" for reference. I liked the fit of the size small better. The colors are rich and vibrant and the material feels super soft. Downside; it's sheer. So a cami must be worn. Very breezy and nice drapey fit. I have worn it with andie chino and ballet flats to work. The yellow is very yellow. IMO best colors are the blue, red, grays(both light and dark) . I'm waiting for the teal, so the juries still out on that color. Over all I love these and plan to have them for many years to come. Oh and so far no peeling which is a huge plus! May 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Surprise love I did not originally like the style of this sweater when I saw it in the catalog and online, but randomly tried it on when I was in the store and loved it! It looks great with fitted jeans, and is a good tunic length on me (I'm 5'5" but short-waisted). I went with the lilac, and the sweater is a lightweight merino and a bit sheer, but a tank top solves that problem and keeps my sides from showing through the side vents. I've worn it twice and no pilling yet. I would order another one if the colors I wanted hadn't sold out. May 14, 2014
