Lightweight merino wool tunic sweater
Product Details

Layers like merino, feels like cashmere. The secret is the gauge of the knit—the higher the number, the finer the fabric. It takes longer to knit, but it's worth it—not only is it super-drapey, it also takes color really well (and everyone knows how much we love our colors). Fitted in the shoulders but with an easy swingy silhouette (including side slits at the hem), this sweater is one to have in multiples.

  • Merino wool in a 16-gauge knit.
  • Bracelet sleeves.
  • Rib trim at neck, cuffs and hem.
  • Dry clean.
  • Import.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spring Staple I love this sweater! And yes I am one of those people, when I like something I buy it in multiples. And this sweater is one I really really like. I've purchase it in both a small and extra small. I'm 141 lbs/ 5'10" for reference. I liked the fit of the size small better. The colors are rich and vibrant and the material feels super soft. Downside; it's sheer. So a cami must be worn. Very breezy and nice drapey fit. I have worn it with andie chino and ballet flats to work. The yellow is very yellow. IMO best colors are the blue, red, grays(both light and dark) . I'm waiting for the teal, so the juries still out on that color. Over all I love these and plan to have them for many years to come. Oh and so far no peeling which is a huge plus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprise love I did not originally like the style of this sweater when I saw it in the catalog and online, but randomly tried it on when I was in the store and loved it! It looks great with fitted jeans, and is a good tunic length on me (I'm 5'5" but short-waisted). I went with the lilac, and the sweater is a lightweight merino and a bit sheer, but a tank top solves that problem and keeps my sides from showing through the side vents. I've worn it twice and no pilling yet. I would order another one if the colors I wanted hadn't sold out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect lightweight sweater This sweater is fabulous! The material is the perfect weight for spring and cooler summer days. The sweater drapes really well, due partially to its "swing" style. It was unclear from the photos online, but the sweater actually has hidden side slits that go up to your natural waist. This allows the sweater to breathe and drape well while sitting, but if you don't pay attention, you'll end up showing some skin from time to time. This isn't really a big deal, but it was an unexpected surprise when the sweater arrived. The one potential issue with the sweater is that I can see that the fabric may pill easily, but I'm guessing it's nothing that a sweater stone can't fix. I purchased both colors and they're great - the blue is especially gorgeous and vibrant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Length I love tunic style items and this is great. The length is perfect (I'm 5'3", 115 lbs) and I LOVE the slits on the side. Super soft too. J. Crew is always huge on me so I ordered an XXS and it fits great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good concept but poor quality I was excited about the concept of this sweater and tried on a few different colors (neon yellow, lavender, and blue). First off, this sweater is very swingy, so the torso runs large while the arms feel normal. I would have considered sizing down from my usual XXS in J.Crew tops/sweaters, but that wasn't an option. I ended up keeping the blue one in XXS but do wish the body was slightly less billowy. I agree with other reviewers that the lighter colors are pretty sheer. The neon yellow was completely see-through, while the lavender was only semi-sheer. The blue was opaque though. Other pet peeves include how easily the material pills and how high the side slits go. So far I've only worn the blue one once and I was just sitting at my desk all day, but it already has a bunch of little fuzz balls.
