9" short in garment-dyed cotton

I love everything about these shorts. From the Garment dyed look to the coin pocket. It’s all in the details. I just ish they are not always sold out. These are the only shorts I like. Not a big fan of the stretch, too shiny for my taste. I don’t want to look like I’m going out for a night at the Roxbury. Please, please make more of these of the garment dyed w/ coin pocket shorts.

These are my favorite shorts, they have a soft worn feel right out of the package, the fit is correct and I like the 9' inseam length. all in all the perfect 100% cotton shorts.

These are my favorite shorts. The material is heavy enough to be durable while still being comfortable. I own these in about six colors. My only complaint is that J Crew seems to be discontinuing these shorts. These shorts were formerly called "Stanton shorts". Instead they are focusing on shorts that seem to be poorer quality with thinner material. J Crew: please bring these back!

These shorts are now noticeably tighter than they have been for the last couple of years. I've gone through several pairs of these, always the same 34W. I bought a pair this summer at the store without trying them on, and later discovered they were waaaaaay too tight. Went back and ordered 35W, and they were still too tight! At first I thought I had gotten bigger (LOL), but I contacted Customer Service and they told me that the shorts have indeed been recently updated to a "trim fit", whatever that means. I just ordered a 36W and am hoping they will fit.

When I received this item, it was inside out, crumpled up and tied with a string. As a result they were extremely wrinkled. Very unusual, very disappointing. JCrew prices are very high, you should be more attentive to quality and packaging. This is a gift item. I am unlikely to order online again.
