Runs huge and not flattering
February 12, 2021I feel like J Crew sizing is all over the place, but generally I am a size xs or small anywhere I shop. I'm 5'5, 110 lb, and I purchased the xs. It is massive and so unflattering. The only way I can get it to fit is if I pull the strings tightly, but then it gives the shirt a strange look, because it's not supposed to be tied tightly. I wasn't thinking this was a fitted shirt, but it's so loose that it looks like a sack. I can't imagine it would flatter anyone.

Inconsistency between colors
January 27, 2021As other reviewers have suggested, there is inconsistency between colors in terms of size. I’m a pretty standard size medium - size 8-10 - but can sometimes wear a small in flouncier tops because I don’t love the oversized look. I sized down in this to a small bases on reviews and ordered both the black and orange. The black fit exactly as I had hoped. The orange was visibly larger. I was disappointed that this was a final sale item.

Strangest fitting J.Crew blouse ever
January 26, 2021This shirt is bizarre. I'm 5'5", 124 lbs, and usually wear a small, extra small, and on occasion, extra-extra small in J.Crew. After reading reviews, I bought this in extra small. The neckline is big enough for two people. The ties are only decorative and cannot adjust the opening. If you try to tighten it, it just puckers strangely because the ties only go about 3 inches on either side (or maybe mine was sewn badly?). I have small arms and the elastic on the arms is almost too tight. This blouse is completely unwearable. Sadly, it is final sale so it looks like I have to keep it. Unless you're looking for a project, stay away from this one.

SIZE WAY DOWN!!
January 22, 2021Just a warning that this shirt is VERY big, so I’d size down at least two sizes or more. I bought it on clearance and no smaller size was available, so I gave this shirt to my mom to keep. Just for reference, I bought an XS because I saw that people recommended sizing down, but I wish I could’ve gone even more. I’m 5’2 and 110 lbs. It was HUGE on me and kept falling off my shoulders as I tried it on. Seemed almost like a Large. Please be aware!
