Fun occasion jacket, not an everyday piece

Great pattern jacket
January 25, 2025I really like this jacket recently purchased. It fits well, great pattern and is not heavy. Keeps me warm enough. I wish it was lined. It is a bit scratchy but with long sleeves underneath it’s just fine.

Leighton blazer/jack: What you really need to know
January 8, 2025I now have this Leighton blazer-jacket in both color options, the brown plaid and dark blue. Things you should definitely know before ordering: it is a very specific cut, wide, loose and unstructured. I am 5’ 8.5” tall and 130 lbs and ordered the size 6 (it’s very loose). The collar is finicky and I found that it works better as a short, stand up collar rather than worn folded as traditional lapels (they are too small and awkward for this look). The blue pattern is far more subtle from afar, and is a deep, rich mixture of blues and some dark brown (really not grey). I have worn this belted to give it a more sophisticated look- and received compliments on day 1. The other way I would wear it is more casual, with a hoodie underneath. This is NOT a traditional blazer. It is double-faced as described, with a subtle wool layer and not the usual shiny polyester. It is surprisingly light and almost thin, so you can probably layer it well. I really appreciated how it was shipped and delivered- on a hanger, folded flat and safely protected in a box and just not a standard shipping bag. Ready to wear without any steaming. A great capture on sale, otherwise overpriced imo.
