Beautiful dress
June 16, 2023It has a cotton lining, not see through and it has a pocket. Of course I cannot wear a bra but a nipple cover will do the job. And the dress highlights beautiful shoulders and small waist.

Not for women with any kind of bust
May 26, 2023Like most J Crew dresses, they don’t account for the space a bust, particularly a larger one, takes up. That results in the waist on the dress coming much higher than intended and causes the sides of the bodice by the chest to flare open. This is the only reason the sides didn’t plunge down as far on me as the model in the photo. The way it’s intended to sit wouldn’t allow you to wear any kind of bra without it being visible. It’s a shame because it’s so pretty and comfortable otherwise and has pockets! Would probably work well for someone with a very small chest.

Poor design
May 21, 2023The crossover part under the arms is so deep that you can't wear any type of bra, and there's no real good reason for that design choice since the crossover detail is barely visible. Needlessly complicates what could be an easy summer dress. Cutting this torso of this dress like normal would've made it a keeper for me, but it's impractical so I'm returning. My normal size fit, but be warned skirt is very full.
