Collection open-back silk charmeuse dress

Very pretty dress! Gorgeous color and soft material with lovely sheen but wish I’d sized down from my typical j crew size

I love this dress. The high slit and open back is my kind of classy sexy. It's figure-hugging but not at all clingy. The silk is very nice and has a great drape. I'm usually between a 2 and 4 in dresses (5'4", 125lbs, 37(28FF)/26/38). I bought a 2 and really wish I had actually gone with a 0. The tie back and A-line shape are forgiving of broad shoulders and a bigger rear, the dress really hangs on the waist so I would suggest using that to determine size. That said, even a little big it looks amazing with my dark hair and pale skin. I can't wait to wear this to the theater next month.

The true fit guide told me to buy a 12, I bought the 14 to be safe. Can barely get it zipped and my arms will not even get into the sleeves. So upset I bought on the final sale. Wish J Crew would at least do a size exchange on final sale items, should be a perk for J. Crew cardholders.

I started wearing slinky satin skirts this year, and this felt like a natural next step. It was a hit at holiday parties with a few sparkly accessories and I can’t wait to wear it in other seasons with my Art Deco earrings and bracelet. This has more room in the hips than a typical J. Crew sheath dress. I have an hourglass shape and typically wear a 00 dress that has an A-line skirt, and this fit perfectly. It works well for petites because it’s non-waisted and has 3/4 length sleeves. Also, the color is gorgeous!

I saw this dress and knew it had to be mine. It fits impeccably well. I cannot wait to wear it for the holidays!!! For reference, I am 5’5 and purchased a size 4 and it fits like a glove.
