Smocked neck puff-sleeve dress in cherry blossoms

I was looking forward to receiving this dress. Although, the fabric is lovely and the colors soft and beautiful the fit is extremely off. I ordered a M my usual size at JCrew however it was huge! ( more like an XL) Fits like a tent! No shape at all, even wearing the thin belt it comes with it is very unflattering. Sadly I had to return it.

I ordered this in a XXS on my 5’5, 120lbs frame and it’s still huge on me. I agree that the color is very faded like you washed it many times already. Still excited to wear it tho. I do like the feminine, flower pattern and the long length of the dress.

So dissatisfied! I bought the same dress in the blue Liberty print and it is a jewel. So I purchased the dress in this other pattern too. Fabric is thin, print is faulty, so the overall impression is of a dress that has been fading in storage for years. Decidedly NOT JCrew standard!

This dress is so pretty and gives me a total Princess Diana vibe with the puffy sleeves. The dress is 100% cotton and very comfortable. The cut is pretty tent-like so there is a lot of fabric. I prefer tying it for a daintier look. For reference, I am 5"6 120lbs, 34A and I bought a XS.
