Love but could be improved
March 18, 2026I really love the fit of this cashmere sweater. It is relaxed and cool but still polished. My only complaint is that I wish it was a tad thicker. I have the cream color and it’s a bit see through. I will walkways need to layer over a tee or tank for work.

February 26, 2026This sweater is classic and timeless with a stunning fit! Not too short, not too boxy (nips in a bit at the waist), and the lowish v neck is great on its own or with a tank, collared shirt or tee. The cashmere is lighter weight than the classic cashmere crewnecks from J.Crew, but great for all seasons. I got the black and then got the navy when it came back in stock, and now I want to keep both because they are that good! A wardrobe staple. Sized down one from my regular size which I recommend.

February 17, 2026The material is a bit thin and after 1 wear is pilling. It's a joke that they put a tag on it that says it will pill. Do they put tags on other merchandise saying the seams will unravel, buttons will fall off and holes will appear, colours will fade after one wash? All BTW, which have happened to other J Crew purchases. I was hesitant about this purchase because of all of the above but I wanted a navy v-neck and this price was better than others so because it's a basic I made this decision. It has an interesting fit though, being a bit deeper and slouchy in an interesting way. Wore with a slim turtle neck underneath to make it pop. It is too thin to wear a shirt underneath because it will look lumpy.
