Order Half Size Down!
2 weeks agoLovely color and good quality leather. The only issue I had is that I ended up having to exchange for a half a size down from my usual shoe size. After some internet digging, I found that it is often recommended to size down in J. Crew loafers. The leather is a bit stiff compared to other brands, but they are not as rigid as my lug sole Weejuns. I expect it will break in over time.

Way too stiff, makes my feet hurt
March 5, 2026Not thrilled with these. Blisters on the back of my upper heel. Maybe they need to be broken in more, but the back of the shoes are so stiff I don’t foresee it getting softer. Normally a big fan of J.Crew’s shoes, even some of their other loafer model, but this one really missed the mark for me.
