Dressy and Casual and Most Important, Classy
August 25, 2025These wonderfully handmade boots have both style and substance. Slightly stiff, but once broken in, they feel like a glove. The leather and the welt are top notch. Can easily dress up or dress down an outfits, so conveniently sits in between dressy with some flare and polished casual. Debated on these for six months before pulling the trigger. Actually tried on a pair during a visit to Paris. And glad I did because the size I would have chosen would have been too small. Wear a 43 in Birkenstocks with a little bit of extra room, and bought at 43 in these and the fit is perfect. Classy through and through.

Stylish
June 4, 2025Stylish shoe. Dresses up chinos or jeans or gives a suit a more laidback funky vibe. Highly recommend. Only things to note is I would have bought half a size down but J Crew didn’t stock half sizes. It will also take a few wears before they’re really comfortable. Solid choice.

Great shoes
November 14, 2024Well built handsome shoes that nicely bridge the casual and dressy like a chunky loader would. Unfortunately looks like I'm in between sizes and JCrew doesn't carry half sizes, so I had to return them. But if the size works for you it's an excellent choice.

Very nice shoe
December 25, 2022I 1st saw this shoe in another store and fell in love. I absolutely feel like it's over priced at every store that sells it but the pricing is pretty consistent. I waited hoping it would go down in price at the other store and I missed out. I only wanted the brown. So it showed up at Jcrew, yaaaay! The price still never went down, lol. But they didn't have brown until very recently and as much as it pained me to spend the money I got it. I fully intended to talk myself into returning it but I wont. It's a VERY good, classic, well made shoe that'll go with so much in my closet. So...if you like the style and you want to spend that much I say do it. You should have it forever and it'll look good (if taken care of) forever as well. P.S., the less than 5 stars is all due to the price. The shoe itself is great.
