Fits big based on
9 customer reviewsWhat customers are saying:
Customers consistently love the crisp, high-quality cotton and say the dress feels comfortable, polished, and easy to wear. The overall look is very chic and versatile, with several customers enjoying how it can be styled for a casual-cool or more dressed-up outfit. The fit runs very roomy and boxy, so many customers suggested sizing down if they want a less oversized look. Overall, it’s a stylish tunic dress that feels well made and gets a lot of wear.

J Crew Fan cool dress!
November 25, 2021I really love this dress. It’s a little oversized and that’s what I love about it. I’m partial because I’m a true fan of all things J. Crew. I paired the dress with an oversized sweater but not the one pictured with it. I got another option from J Crew. I am wearing boots and tights since the weather in Atlanta is cooling off. I recommend this dress.

Love this dress
October 19, 2021Just received this dress. Like everyone else commented, it is big. I wear a small, got an extra small, and could probably exchange for and xxs. BUT…I love this dress. Can’t wait to wear it. The stripe is red…which was actually a pleasant surprise. Maybe the description says it and I missed it but I thought the stripe was grey. Anyway, order with confidence.

Beautiful fabric, but size down!
October 19, 2021I purchased this tunic after falling in love with the variety of ways it's styled on the J Crew website. I am 5'8" tall, 140 lbs, and 34DD. Generally, with button down shirts, I wear a size 8 Tall. J Crew suggested I purchase this tunic in size Large, but based on the pictures, I decided to disregard their advice. I bought it in Medium, but my goodness: it was still huge. Massive. Three of me could have fit in the Medium. The shirting fabric feels absolutely wonderful to the touch. It's definitely a quality item. But the fit was so big I couldn't even get a reasonable idea of whether it would look cute on me if I were to exchange it for the right size. So...I would recommend trying this on in-store if possible, or if ordering online, size down at least one size if you want this tunic to look anything like the pictures.
