What customers are saying:
Customers really appreciate the classic style, warmth, and versatility of this peacoat for cold weather. Many praised the quality of the materials and the modern touches like the insulated lining and practical pockets, making it a great choice for both casual outings and more polished looks. Several customers noted that the coat can run a bit large or small, so adjusting your size choice might be a good idea for the perfect fit. A few also suggested minor tweaks to design details like button placement and fabric finish, which could make this already solid coat even better for everyday wear.

A fantastic update to a classic winter staple.
December 28, 2024The J.Crew Dock Peacoat with PrimaLoft® is a fantastic update to a classic winter staple. This coat combines the timeless style of a traditional peacoat with modern insulation technology, making it both fashionable and functional. The PrimaLoft® insulation is a standout feature, providing impressive warmth without adding unnecessary bulk, which keeps the coat sleek and comfortable for all-day wear. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship is exceptional. The wool-blend fabric feels luxurious and durable, with a smooth texture that resists pilling over time. The design stays true to the peacoat’s nautical roots, featuring sharp lapels, anchor-inspired buttons, and a versatile double-breasted closure. It’s cut with a modern fit that’s not too slim, allowing for easy layering without feeling oversized. Practical details like deep, secure pockets and a soft, insulated lining make it ideal for chilly days, whether commuting, traveling, or attending outdoor events. It’s versatile enough to pair with casual outfits or dressier ensembles, ensuring it’ll get plenty of wear throughout the colder months. If you’re seeking a stylish, well-insulated coat that bridges classic and contemporary design, the J.Crew Dock Peacoat with PrimaLoft® is an excellent choice.

Classic Look
December 26, 2024Love this coat, it is very versatile, wear it almost year-round. "Tech" Pocket with button closure on the inside is great for keyfobs. I only wish it was a little snugger or had slightly bigger arm holes to wear a bulkier sweater and utilize the extra chest space. XS would have been to short in the arms for me.

Peeky buttons
March 23, 2023This is a weird one. It is a great peacoat - the primaloft lining makes it especially useful but I did size down to a small when I'm usually a medium - 38R. The issue I found with this is that the topmost set of buttons on the inside awkwardly peek out of the coat which just seems odd. I'll replace them with a smaller set but it just seems like an odd and unfortunate oversight.

Great quality
February 5, 2023I don’t need a pea coat. I live in Southern California. BUT the price was so good and when it arrived the quality of the jacket convinced me to keep it.

Nice classic coat
January 18, 2023Very pleased with this coat - as other reviewers have mentioned, it runs large relative to J.Crew shirt sizes. I am 6'1" 180lbs and am a slim large in button downs and a large in polos, but I take a medium in this coat (and really all J.Crew coats). I like that it's a classic peacoat with a somewhat modern/tailored fit. Not that it matters to most, but I bought last year's version of this coat a while back and ended up returning it because I didn't like how high the pockets were. This 2022/23 version seems to have lower main pockets that are much more practical.
