Dauphinette X J.Crew cropped shirt in red blooms

Vibrant colors, 100% cotton and light, fabric-covered buttons... this is a gorgeous summer shirt, but take the warning upfront that this runs a bit smaller and I'd call it a super-crop. The shirt length in an L is 18.5 inches from back of collar to hem. I'm 5'9", a 12, 36B, and have a longer torso (or at least I usually buy it if offered in swimwear because of fit.) The large (my usual size top) buttons but isn't roomy - and basically hits me where a longline bra would. The shoulders fit and the sleeves are cut wider (you can see it in the model shots) - but the rest of the shirt is not oversized; overall I'm pretty happy with it. I would size up if in between sizes and also FYI for - once again - the cropped length.

I found this true to size; I'm an XS-S, small-breasted but large rib cage and broad shoulders, and tried this in an XS. It fit perfectly but was SO SHORT. I'm only 5' tall and it was above my belly button. I wanted it cropped, but even my highest waist pants didn't work with this. Such a shame- beautiful print and cut otherwise!

Such a beautiful pattern; I want this floral print in everything!! I'm pretty much always a 2x in shirts at J.Crew, but this I could barely get on. I reordered a 3x and I'm hopeful it will fit! Just be aware it's VERY cropped.
